The Discover Ka’anapali boat adventure starts with a direct board from the golden sands of Ka’anapali Beach. Your adventure continues with a hot breakfast of Mom Coon’s cinnamon rolls as we sail to our first snorkeling destination, typically Honolua Bay. The NEW luxury sailing catamaran is comfortable and roomy, with fresh water showers, cushioned seating, and large bathrooms. This 5-hour excursion Includes one or two snorkel sites, sailing, and the friendliest Captain and Crew who will keep the food and drinks flowing, and ensure your day with Trilogy is safe and No Ka Oi!

Maui’s “Mother Reef” sprawls over 1,000 acres. The corals here release a type of spawn that floats on currents to the outlying islands and settles on distant reefs. The end result is new coral growth on dozens of different reefs, hence the term “mother reef”. The corals here are over 600 years old. Given the need to protect the reef, Trilogy ties up to a mooring to avoid anchoring on coral.

Our Private Charter includes an exclusive sailing catamaran, USCG licensed captain and crew, sailing, snorkel equipment and instruction, continental breakfast, BBQ lunch, premium bar, non-alcoholic beverages and chilled filtered water.

KA’ANAPALI BEACH LOADING

Please note you will be loading directly from the beach, through the surf zone onto the boat, and you will get wet! This is a barefoot charter and footwear will be collected prior to departure.

This excursion loads directly from the sands of world-famous Ka’anapali Beach, and you WILL get wet when loading.

Please watch this quick video showing our beach-loading process during a small shore break. Please keep in mind that beach loading conditions vary and require a certain level of physical fitness. Guests with injuries or disabilities that impede mobility may find beach loading too difficult or strenuous on higher surf days. It is recommended that guests with mobility issues and parents with small infants, book one of our many tours departing from the Lahaina Harbor.

Enjoy a continental breakfast, tropical fruit, coffee and juice as we set off to a premier snorkel destination: Honolua Bay or Olowalu! Immerse yourself in an underwater aquarium at your leisure. Snacks and beverages will be served once you’re out of the water along with a hot BBQ lunch. With tummies full, lay back and relax as we sail our way back to port. With a drink in hand and the wind on your face, it’s just another perfect day in paradise!

Continental Breakfast
Your tour starts with a continental breakfast of Mom Coon’s 4th generation cinnamon rolls and chilled tropical fruit cup, complimented with Kona coffee, hot tea, hot cocoa, POG or pineapple juice.

SNORKELING – THE REEFS OF WEST MAUI

The bays of Honoapi’ilani offer some of the best snorkeling on Maui! Our Captain will choose the preferred snorkeling destination for that day, (most often Honolua Bay), which allows our guests to truly enjoy the most ideal conditions & visibility that West Maui has to offer. You might find yourself swimming among the fish and honu (Hawaiian sea turtle) in the coves of Honolua, enjoying the crystal clear waters at Cliff House, or even snorkeling the expansive Olowalu reef – Maui’s “mother reef”

Plated BBQ Chicken Lunch

For lunch enjoy our savory shoyu chicken, spring mix salad with Mom Coon’s famous dressing, rice pilaf and soft Hawaiian sweet rolls. This is a first-class luncheon experience with meals served on dinner plates with silverware. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meals are available only upon request at booking. An assortment of non-alcoholic beverages are available throughout the day.

THE RETURN
After lunch, we’ll raise the sails and head back to the beach! For guests 21+ (with ID), two adult premium beverages are included on the return sail, as well as sodas, juice, and filtered water.

Check-in is 15 minutes prior to departure time at the Beach Lawn fronting Ka‘anapali Beach Hotel*. (Look for the Sports Hut next to the beach) There will be a safety briefing at this time.
NOTE If at check-in, surf conditions are deemed dangerous, guests can expect to walk 10-15 minutes north on the beach to a safer boarding area. The check-in location will not change.

WHAT TO BRING
Footwear: Wearing the right type of shoes is a very important part of boating. Please choose comfortable, soft-soled non-marking shoes with plenty of grip. Avoid wearing high heels or shoes with hard soles. This type of footwear offers little traction and can be potentially dangerous should you happen to lose your footing. If you are open to an authentic Hawaiian sailing experience, then you are welcome to go barefoot!

Bring your phone/camera, swimsuit, towel, non-aerosol/reef-safe sunscreen, sun protection and a light jacket or sweatshirt for the early morning. We recommend deck shoes or rubber-soled shoes, for best stability onboard. We strongly encourage reef-safe sunscreens that are zinc and titanium dioxide-based* and provide complimentary reef-safe sunscreen aboard all of our vessels!
*We only accept credit cards for onboard purchases.
